Sam Topley is a sound artist exploring handcrafts and electronics. Currently working with techniques such as weaving, embroidery and appliqué, her interdisciplinary and practice-led research investigates an intersection between music, craft and electronics.
Topley shares her practice through performances, installations and workshops, recently contributing to the Make||Sound Festival, the Spark Arts Festival and the Dirty Electronics’ Ugly Weekender. She has delivered a seminar at the Royal College of Music, Stockholm and has performed within events such as LLEAPP 2015, De Montfort University and the Noise Colloquium, University of Greenwich.
Topley is currently undertaking an MA by Research at the Music, Technology and Innovation Research Centre, De Montfort University.
